Holly first came to CF Jaguar on Bring A Friend Day as a member's guest.  It was a Saturdaypartner WOD that was long and challenging. Holly wanted to quit. But she didn't. She hung strong until the very end and completed her first CrossFit workout. Holly was back the following Mondayfor more. Then Tuesday. And then Wednesday. I’d say she took to the CrossFit Kool Aid pretty well.

Fast forward to the present: Holly's determination and hard work have seen her graduate from CrossFit Lite classes into regular CrossFit classes. Holly completed a private On Ramp program to address some of the more technical movements and she was off!

Holly's initial goal coming in to CrossFit was to continue the weight loss she had experienced prior to joining Jaguar, in preparation for her wedding which was then a year and a half away. Not only has Holly seen continued success in her nutrition and weight loss, she's experienced so much more: Holly has competed in local competitions, been one of our most supportive volunteers, and attended competitions to cheer on her fellow athletes. Most impressive is that Holly won first place in our annual fitness challenge by losing 20 lbs in two months and shaving MINUTES off her mile time!

Holly continues to develop as an athlete by doing supplemental work and speaking with coaches about form and technique. She serves as a cheerleader in the box, supporting other athletes through to the end. Holly is a perfect example of a team player - giving her all and pushing others to do the same.

Jose has been coming to CF Jaguar close to 1 ½ years.  Already a strong guy, he quickly took to the weightlifting aspect of CrossFit.  Conditioning was somewhat new to him but he was determined to improve.

"Better than yesterday" is a term Jose began to live by, consistently putting in the hard work necessary to succeed. His running improved, met cons were faster and even his strength numbers continued to rise. Jose is constantly setting goals, reaching them, and aspiring for new ones.

Wanting to get better at the Olympic lifting, he regularly participates in the CF Jaguar Barbell Club. Practice has paid off as his technique is now well-matched with his strength. Paired with his improved physical performance, Jose tackled his nutrition, knowing that diet and exercise go hand in hand in health. Jose participated in our annual fitness challenge, making dramatic changes which resulted in a loss of 20 pounds and all-around improvements in performance!

Congratulations to Holly B. and Jose B. our December 2015 Athletes of the Month!
