My first impression of CrossFit was one of intimidation. I remembering arriving at the gym and seeing all of the people who looked much stronger than myself and I immediately thought I would fail at this. Further, after seeing the WOD on the board, I remember thinking to myself "I knew I shouldn't have come." However, I successfully completed my first WOD and the accomplishment was encouraging. I decided I was going to commit to coming regularly and joined CrossFit Lite a few weeks later. I have been coming ever since and find myself looking forward to the challenging workouts.
My first real achievement was being able to perform a box jump. When I first started I didn't have enough strength in my legs to perform a box jump correctly. I am working on being able to perform a push-up from the ground and a strict pull-up. I am also looking forward to participating in my first Jaguar Competition. My favorite Jaguar memory is more about the overall experience than a single memory. I have met so many great people including both members and coaches who help motivate and encourage me to reach my fitness goals.
