FITNESS TIP OF THE WEEK: ROCKET FUEL FOR YOUR CLIMB
For those of you that missed the deadline for the Early Bird Registration for the Stair Climb Tampa, you’re in luck! To perform your best for the event or for your health and life in general follow these Dietary Do’s:
a.. Eat whole unprocessed foods
b.. Eat meat, game, organ meats, poultry and eggs from pasture-fed animals
c.. Eat wild fish (not farm raised) and shellfish from unpolluted waters
d.. Eat dairy from pasture-fed cows, preferably raw and/or fermented
e.. Use traditional fats only–animal, butter, extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, flax oil and the tropical oils–coconut, palm and palm kernel
f.. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables–preferably organic
g.. Use whole grains, legume and nuts that have been prepared properly
h.. Use filtered water for cooking and drinking
i.. Use unrefined salt such as sea salt and a variety of herbs and spices
j.. Make your own salad dressing using raw vinegar, extra virgin olive oil and/or flax oil
k.. Use natural sweeteners in moderation, such as raw honey, maple syrup and cane sugar
l.. Use only unpastuerized wine or beer in strict moderation with meals
m.. Cook only in stainless steel, cast iron, glass or good quality enamel
n.. Use only natural, food-based supplements
o.. Get plenty of sleep, exercise and natural light
p.. Think positive thoughts and practice forgiveness
