Athlete of the Month: Pablo Caceres

Pablo first walked through the doors of CrossFit Jaguar and was eager and motivated to learn and get fit. To this day, he is still motivated every time he comes in to train. It can be 6:30 PM or 5:45AM and he is always here giving it his all.

With his work ethic he amazes me and motivates others by him pushing himself through his WODs and getting better with his technique everyday. We are proud to have Pablo C. as Athlete of the Month!

1. What brought you to CrossFit in the first place?

A cool Facebook ad!

2. What is your favorite thing about CrossFit Jaguar?

I think CF Jaguar hits a sweet spot in its combination of great trainers, facility, class scheduling, and an owner who is very engaged.  It attracts a very supportive group of people of all ages and fitness levels. 

3. What has been your favorite thing about the gym?

 The variety of equipment and large size. Oops that’s two.  

4. What goals are you currently working on?

 My main goal is quite simple.  To work out regularly — to improve my cardio and build muscle mass.  And enjoy the experience.  I may up my game and prepare for a Tough Mudder soon. 

5. What is your favorite cheat meal? 

Dinner.  Ok seriously it’s pizza. 

6. What would you say to someone who is thinking about joining CrossFit Jaguar?

Initially, go to class with the goal of spending an hour doing things correctly form wise. Do not go too hard and too fast.  As you continue to get classes under your belt, you will find yourself wanting to add more weight, do more reps, or row faster, etc.  Also, unless you are going to seriously change your eating habits, do not expect to lose a lot of weight.  But you will of course lose and gain inches where you need to.
